პაკო ალკასერი Paco Alcácer comes to Barcelona to strengthen the team’s front line. Born in Torrent, Valencia on 30 August 1993, he came up through the Valencia CF youth academy and became a fixture in the top flight while also reaching the Spanish national team.
The Valencia-born striker took his first steps at Torrent CF. Valencia quickly saw his potential and brought him on board in their lower categories. Alcácer moved quickly through the Valencia academy and made his official first-team debut at age 17 in the Copa del Rey. His success at the 2011 Under-19 European Championships gave him a shot with the first team in the 2011/12 preseason. Despite training with Valencia’s first team in the 2012/13 pre-season, Alcácer was sent on loan to Getafe, where he scored three goals. Thanks to his good performances, the striker returned after one season to Valencia to join the first team. By the time the second half of the 2013/14 season was underway, Alcácer had become a mainstay. He netted a hat-trick against Basel in the quarter-finals of the Europa League and finished as the team’s top scorer for the 2013/14 season.
A magnificent start to the 2014/15 season earned him an invitation to play for the Spanish national team, for which he scored three goals in his first three appearances. On the final day of the season Alcácer scored the goal that got Valencia into the Champions League preliminary playoff round. პაკო ალკასერი
At the beginning of the 2015/16 season he rotated with the team’s other forwards in the starting XI, but when major coaching changes came about, Alcácer was named team captain and the team’s go-to striker. He finished the season with 13 goals and seven assists. პაკო ალკასერი
On 30 August 2016, his 23rd birthday, his move to FC Barcelona became official, making him the team’s sixth reinforcement for the 2016/17 season.
